- On a positive note bowling was good (1 a piece), plus bacon, eggs and roast pork for tomorrow . Mmm crackling. Sunday is looking up. #
- New trainers too. £5 from Cheshire Street, perfect for cycling and a sign that says The Devil Wears Prada but the people want £5 trainers. #
- Woken by Thunder, and I don’t mean the one with Danny Bowes in. #
- It’s much easier telling everyone you know that you’re writing a book than it is actually doing it. Fact. By the way, I’m writing a book. #

Writing, beer and wheat intolerance…

So the plan was to use up the holiday I rolled over from last year to fit in some writing, celebrate Ruth’s birthday at Reading beer festival over the bank holiday weekend catch up with some friends and life in general.
On the Sunday before the offical break started we caught up with my friends Oli Silk and his girlfriend Eve who are just about to leave for America for 6 months – Oli is number one in the smooth jazz airplay chart over there so hopefully they’re in for a successful time doing gigs and shifting copies of his album (in shops now).
